Taiwanese Wowprime aims to become global restaurant brand

Taiwan restaurant chain operator Wowprime aims to become an international brand by having an outlet count of 1,000 by 2020 and 10,000 by 2030.

As part of international growth plan, it intends to set up joint ventures or opt for brand authorization.

The company currently operates about 290 outlets in Taiwan and China.

Wowprime finance division vice president Steven Liu was quoted by Taipei Times as saying that the fast pace of expansion may help the group's number of outlets reach 1,000 earlier than the target year of 2020.

The company operates hotpot restaurant brand 12 Sabu and cafe chain Famonn Coffee.

Wowprime intends to open anywhere between 10 and 15 outlets of 12 Sabu brand in China. Currently, it has three 12 Sabu outlets in the country.

In Taiwan, the company opened 65 outlets in fiscal 2012.
