Suguna Poultry ropes in Francorp for expansion

RBR Staff Writer Published 20 February 2012

India-based Suguna Poultry has collaborated with a franchise consulting company Francorp for its franchise expansion plans in south India.

Francorp will perform the review and recommendation of the firm, which evolves franchise concept evaluations and framework development, reported fnbnews.com.

Suguna plans to open 100 Daily Fressh shops, a modern air-conditioned retail shop, in Bangalore in the next two years.

For store openings, the company will implement two operation models - franchise-owned and company-owned.

In September 2011, Suguna opened its first franchise-owned shop in Bangalore. After that three more outlets were launched, which stock chicken, mutton and fish.

The company is looking forward to setting up 500 outlets by the end of 2012-13 in the Indian states of Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.

Suguna Poultry has operations in 11 states across India, exports products to Dubai, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Qatar and Japan.
