Salata to open 40 outlets in US by 2016

RBR Staff Writer Published 10 July 2013

Salata, an American salad bar chain, is gearing up to expand its presence across the country with plans to open 40 eateries by 2016.

The Houston-based chain will open a new 3,300ft² location in Houston later in July 2013 through its franchise partner Tina MacInnes.

Located at 10898 Westheimer Road, it will be the first stand-alone location in the Westchase business district.

MacInnes, along with her father Jay Tribble, is keen to open additional outlets in the Woodway and Katy communities of Greater Houston over the next two to three years.

Salata has also forged franchise agreements for 20 restaurants across Southern California by 2015 earlier in 2013.

The company has recently launched its eighth outlet in Dallas-Fort Worth at 7601 N. MacArthur Boulevard in Irving. Franchisee Mark Robbins is the owner and operator of the 2,400ft² outlet.

Launched in 2005, the restaurant chain currently operates 21 locations in Houston, Dallas, and Southern California.
