RBR Staff Writer Published 09 May 2013

India-based bakery and restaurant chain Oriental Cuisines plans to expand its store count across the country in a move to tap growing demand for cuisine of international standards.

The group, which presently has 100 outlets across the country, intends to open 300 new outlets in India by mid-2015.

Of the proposed 300 outlets, Oriental Cuisines intends to open 200 Oriental Cuisine outlets and 100 bakery retail points under the 'The French Loaf' brand, reported domain-b.com.

The company is said to secure funds from internal accruals and existing investors for the pan-India expansion.

Oriental Cuisines operates outlets under the brand names such as Benjarong, Teppan, Ente Keralam, China Town, Zara Tapas Bar, The French Loaf, Le Chocolatier, Wangs Kitchen, Planet Yumm, Kebab House and Hotel Oriental Inn across Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata.

The company is also exploring possible options of taking these brands to tier II cities in the South.

Promoted by M Mahadevan, the company received investment from private equity player Peepul Capital in 2007.
