Denver-based traditional fast-food restaurant chain Quiznos has outlined plans to expand its presence in United Arab Emirates (UAE), in a move to strengthen its global retail footprint.

As part of the plan, the restaurant chain has signed partnership deal with Royal Bun Café to set up outlets across UAE. Initially, Royal Bun Café and Quiznos are planning to open more than 70 restaurants over the next eight years.

Primarily, Quiznos expects to open few outlets in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah by 2014 end.

This development agreement is part of the chain's strategy to open more than 1,000 international stores in more than 40 countries by 2020.

Quiznos International Development president Ken Cutshaw said Quiznos brand is continually growing and evolving.

"We are confident the new Quiznos locations will be met with the same success as our other international locations," Cutshaw added.

Apart from regular toasted sandwiches, Quiznos also serves salads, flatbreads, wraps, and soups. Presently, it operates in 50 US states and 30 countries.
