Pizza Rustica strikes new deal to enter Mexico

RBR Staff Writer Published 29 January 2014

US-based Pizza Rustica has entered into a master franchise agreement with Somos Rusticos to introduce the brand’s restaurants in Mexico.

The first outlets under the deal will be opened in Mexico City in 2014, with additional units expected to open both in the capital and across the country.

Pizza Rustica founder Pino Piroso said, "We are looking forward to introduce the Pizza Rustica brand to our neighbor Mexico, and we are very pleased to open our initial units in a first rate location like Mexico City where our delicious, top quality pizza will be a perfect fit."

Founded in 1996 in South Beach, Pizza Rustica is looking to expand its international presence.

Due to the diverse customer base it serves in a world class tourist destination like South Beach, opening in Mexico is a natural step to expand the concept to the Latin American market, the company said.

Headquartered in Florida, Pizza Rustica has more than 15 restaurants throughout the world.
