Hotshots eyes retail expansion through franchise route

Hotshots Sports Bar and Grill has plans to tap new markets in Missouri, Illinois, Texas and North Carolina in 2014, and is seeking franchise partners to drive the expansion.


According to Hotshots, the company's franchising plan will bring the brand into high-profile markets, which include development deals with single, multi-unit and multi-brand restaurant ownership groups.

Hotshots Sports Bar and Grill Franchise Operations director Matt Volmert said that the company was built on a slow, steady profitable growth and the same approach would be adopted for franchising.

"We want to make sure each franchisee is the right fit for us and we are the right fit for them. Customer service and consistency are the keys to our business and keep our customers coming back day after day," Volmert added.

In 2014, the company plans to open one corporate location in Wentzville, Missouri, with additional Missouri franchises in Webster Groves and St. Peters as well as one store in Edwardsville, Illinois.

Founded in 1990, the chain has locations throughout the Midwest and the East Coast, with three additional locations set to open within the next year.

Hotshots Sports Bar and Grill is a full-service restaurant and an interactive sports venue with pool tables, darts, video games and televisions.
