Fresh Thyme Farmers Market to open two stores in St.Louis

Published 21 October 2015

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market,a Midwest specialty retailer focused on healthy and organic products and groceries, will be opening its first two stores in Missouri in O'Fallon (2235 Highway K) and Ballwin (13957 Manchester Blvd.) on 4 November at 7 a.m.

Each store will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony with their local chamber of commerce at 6:45 a.m. The first 250 shoppers in line at each store will receive a free reusable shopping bag filled with approximately $50 of healthy and organic groceries.

"Earlier this year, we opened our first store in the St. Louis area in Fairview Heights, and we're excited to have the opportunity to meet our new neighbors from the west in Ballwin and O'Fallon," Fresh Thyme CEO Chris Sherrell said. "We can't wait to begin serving these local communities by offering healthy, affordable and local grocery options."

Fresh Thyme is passionate about making "local" a focus for each store, from stocking local products and produce to hiring local residents. During the grand opening celebrations, Fresh Thyme will be supporting two local community partners. Girls on the Run will receive a check for $5,000 from the Ballwin store during the ribbon-cutting ceremony, while Cancer Support Society will receive $5,000 from the O'Fallon store.

Fresh Thyme is in the process of filling a total of approximately 100 full-time and 70 part-time positions between the two stores.
