Euro Garages teams up with Subway to open 70 outlets in UK

RBR Staff Writer Published 06 May 2013

Independent forecourt retailer Euro Garages has partnered with sandwich chain Subway to open 70 new concessions across the UK by 2016.

The proposed store openings are expected to create around 700 new jobs to locals. Presently, Euro Garages operates 30 Subway outlets and the new store openings will bring the total count to 100.

The move is part of the Euro Garages' aim to forge ahead its international expansion. In January 2013, the forecourt retailer has successfully acquired 45 sites from ESSO.

Subway UK and Ireland area development manager Trevor Haynes said, "The forecourt and convenience sector is a key area of growth for the SUBWAY® brand."

The sandwich chain has recently partnered with Irish company Applegreen to open Subway concessions at two of its 95 sites.

Subway is also looking to roll out additional stores in near future.
