RBR Staff Writer Published 08 October 2013

American coffee and baked goods chain Dunkin’ Donuts has inked a multi-store development agreement with existing franchisees, Harry Patel, Parag Patel, and new franchisees Jeff Shady, Jordon DiBiase to develop 27 new restaurants in Southern California.

As per the agreed terms, Harry Patel and Parag Patel will develop 18 new standalone restaurants in North Orange County and the Central Inland Empire, while Jeff Shady and Jordon DiBiase will develop eight new standalone restaurants in the North Inland Empire.

The first of the proposed restaurants will be opened in 2015.

Dunkin' Brands Franchising and Business Development vice president Grant Benson said, "We are also excited to welcome Jeff and Jordon to the Dunkin' Donuts brand. Between their franchise and California business experience, we are confident they will cultivate lasting customer relationships, and become a wonderful addition to the North Island Empire community."

Benson also expressed delight in working with Harry and Parag, who have been its business partners for over 25 years.

In addition, Embassy Suites San Diego has signed a franchising agreement with Dunkin' Brands to open a Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin-Robbins combination outlet on the premises, which is expected to open in 2014.

Founded in 1950, Dunkin' Donuts operates more than 10,500 restaurants in 31 countries worldwide.
