Dunkin’ Donuts to expand retail network in Turkey

RBR Staff Writer Published 03 October 2013

American coffee and baked goods chain Dunkin’ Donuts is planning to expand its presence across Turkey through franchise route.

As part of the expansion plan, Dunkin' Donuts intends to develop at least 20-25 restaurants in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, and Adana.

Commenting on the expansion plan, Dunkin' Brands International Development vice president Jeremy Vitaro said, "We recognize the restaurant industry in Turkey continues to diversify, which presents a strong growth opportunity for Dunkin' Donuts."

He added that the brand's value proposition of serving high-quality food and beverages in a casual environment will be a good fit with Turkish consumers.

Targeting an early 2015 entry, the company is looking to open about 100 new restaurants over the next 10 years.

Founded in 1950, Dunkin' Donuts is America's favorite all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods. It operates more than 10,500 restaurants in 31 countries worldwide.

Dunkin' Donuts recently expanded into other countries including India, Guatemala and Vietnam.
