Dunkin' Donuts opens 500th outlet in New York

RBR Staff Writer Published 10 July 2013

American doughnut and coffee chain Dunkin' Donuts has opened its 500th restaurant in New York City.

Located in the Times Square area of Manhattan at 323 West 42nd Street, the new store will be a combination restaurant with Baskin-Robbins, a chain of ice cream specialty shops.

This latest store opening makes Dunkin' Donuts the largest national retailer in New York City in terms of locations.

It features Dunkin' Donuts' and Baskin-Robbins' new restaurant design concepts, which include bright and modern decor, digital menu displays, comfortable seating and updated furniture and lighting.

The new restaurant will be owned and managed by Rich Greenstein and Howard Novick, who currently operate 22 Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins restaurants in the New York City metro area.

Founded in 1950, Dunkin' Donuts currently has more than 10,500 restaurants in 31 countries worldwide.
