RBR Staff Writer Published 17 September 2013

Dunkin’ Brands Group, an American doughnut company, has outlined plans to open more than 100 new outlets in Texas, US, over the next several years in a bid to expand its brand presence.

Dunkin' Brands has also signed multi-unit store development agreements with two new franchise groups - Niknud and Alamo Donuts -to open 17 new restaurants in markets in west and central Texas over the next several years.

Dunkin' Brands franchising and business development vice president, CFE Grant Benson said the company has witnessed incredible growth throughout Texas recently.

"We have over 100 restaurants planned to open over the next several years with outstanding franchise partners and are thrilled that Niknud LLC and Alamo Donuts LLC have chosen to grow with us in the Lone Star State," Benson added.

Niknud will develop eight Dunkin' Donut restaurants and three Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin-Robbins combination units throughout western Texas in Abilene, Amarillo, Lubbock and San Angelo. The first restaurant, under the plan, will be opened in 2014 and the remainder by 2019.

Alamo Donuts will open five traditional Dunkin' Donut restaurants and one Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin-Robbins combination location in San Antonio, Texas. First outlet is scheduled to open in 2014 while the remainder will open by 2019.
