Domino’s Pizza to open 100 new outlets in India

Domino’s Pizza Enterprises, a master franchisee of global pizza delivery chain Dominos, plans to open 100 new stores in India by March 2014, in a move expand the brand’s retail network.

As part of the plan, the company opened 600th outlet in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. The company has also earmarked INR2.5bn ($38.7m) in the current fiscal on store expansion, as well as, plans to open 18 Dunkin' Donuts outlets and construct three new factories.

Domino's Pizza India master franchisee Jubilant FoodWorks chairman Shyam Bhartia told Business Standard that the company has noticed tremendous growth potential in tier-II and III cities.

"We will be entering in more such cities in the time to come," Bhartia added.

Further, the company is planning to open 125 new stores in the current fiscal.

Jubilant FoodWorks chief executive Ajay Kaul said, "Currently we are the market leaders in this segment with 67 percent market share. We plan to open 125 stores in this fiscal and will reach 700 store mark by March, 2014,"
