Cowboy Chicken to expand retail footprint in Texas

RBR Staff Writer Published 04 February 2014

Restaurant chain Cowboy Chicken has entered into a new franchise agreement to develop five stores in West Texas.

The five-store development agreement will expand the Cowboy Chicken brand to West Texas, starting with Lubbock, a place that holds deep roots for several Cowboy Chicken corporate team members, the company said.

Cowboy C West managing partner Brent Shankle said that in Lubbock and West Texas in general, there is no option for quick and healthy dining.

"Healthy food served in a fast-casual dining experience is a growing need for today's society, and I'm excited to bring it to West Texas," Shankle added.

Cowboy Chicken's menu includes fresh salads and sandwiches, grilled skinless chicken breast, and sides such as seasonal fruit, baked sweet potato, green beans, and Campfire Veggies.
